Dinner Cruises & Charter Hire
The Motor Yacht Club of Tasmania is home to the ML Egeria, a classic historic vessel built from Huon Pine and Teak in 1941. The 18.9 metre “Egeria” served as a Naval Auxiliary launch during World War 2 and is now available for charter.
The Egeria has since carried many distinguished guests including visiting royalty and Tasmanian Governors. Authentically presented, the Egeria is a unique part of the River Derwent heritage and is available for a range of charters whether it be transporting you on your special day, a birthday trip or a private meeting with business partners.
Pick up locations for guests include; The Motor Yacht Club – Lindisfarne, Bellerive Wharf, Waterman’s Dock or Kings Pier. Catering and beverages by the MYCT may also be arranged by request. Prices are subject to charter duration and requirements.
Lunch or Dinner Cruises
The MYCT offers the general public the opportunity for a group of 26 guests to take the Egeria out for a lunch or evening dinner cruise. This is a great way to celebrate a special occasion or event with your family, club members or work colleagues. Your guests will enjoy an hour out on the River Derwent on board the historic M.L. Egeria followed by a meal back at the clubhouse.

Charter Hire
The M.L. Egeria may be chartered for your private function or event. This service is open to anyone wishing to make for a very special occasion. Fully catered or self catering options are available.
